ENGLISH EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Philosophy

イングリッシュ・エクスプレスは、幼児からの教育を重視しております。音楽の世界では、「絶対音感」という言葉があります。これは楽音の高さを他のものとの比較によらずに識別する能力で、６歳ごろまでに習得しなけ れば、その能力は身に付けることができないと言われております。これと同様に、英語の発音には日本語に含まれない発音が多く存在します。英語の発音を聞き取る能力を身に付けるため、本スクールの授業はすべてネイティブ又は同様の教師によるレッスンを行い、日本語は一切使いません。英語で聞き取り、自分の意思も英語で表現できることを目指します。

本スクールは、グローバル社会に適応できるコミュニケーション能力を重視、またお互いを思いやるやさしさ、 心の豊かさを築き上げ、学ぶ事が楽しく好きになるよう指導し「探究心」を育てます。さらに、日本の優れた部分「礼儀」「協調性」と、欧米の優れた部分「自主性」「自信」を大きな柱とした和洋折衷でカリキュラムを構成しています。

日本的な部分としては、授業の開始終了時には「挨拶」を全員で行うことで「礼儀」を学び、全員で行うプログラム（遊びやゲーム等）を通して「協調性」を学びます。

欧米的な部分としては、聞くだけでなく、各生徒に積極的に話させる機会（Talking Opportunity）等を作ることに より、自己表現を通じて「自主性」を学び、“しかる”ことより“ほめる”ことを重視し「探究心」の源となる「自信」を持つことを学びます。また、脳の発達にいい効果を与えるとも言われている「数、算数」「Art&Craft」「多読」のカリキュラムを多く取り入れます。

Programs

Baby Class

ベビー・クラスは、8ヶ月から2歳までの幼児を対象としたクラスです。親子同伴で、50分の授業が行われます。 ネイティブの英語の発音に慣れ、楽しむことを中心に授業が行われます。

Preschool

2歳からの初めて英語を学ぶ子供、または基本的な英会話をまだ習得していない子供が対象です。このクラスでは、英語に慣れ親しむための歌、ダンス、ゲームを中心に授業が行われます。英語発音で重要なフォニックス（Phonics）の習得、挨拶、そして、基本的な質疑応答（５W1H:What,Who,Where,When＆How）ができることを目指します。 また、Spellingでは、Alphabetに始まり、3文字程度の単語が書けることを目指して勉強が進められます。 授業は、9時から11時50分の2時間50分です。オプションのエクストラ授業は11時50分から14時の2時間10分で、受講する方はお弁当をご用意して頂きます。 延長預かり（エクステンション）は、授業は行われませんが、日本人Staffや先生が子供のケアを行います。 週2日から5日のコースがあります。各校により選択できる日程が異なりますので、詳細は各校にお問合せしてください。

Kindergarten

4〜6歳までの英語が話せる児童向けのクラスです。キンダーガーデンでは、難しい発音（Short　Vowels、Long　Vowels、 Blends）を学びフォニックス（Phonics）を完全にマスターすることを目指します。また、Role　PlayやShow&Tellの授業により、英語で様々な表現力を習得することに力を入れ、英語の本を読む習慣を身に付けReading力も伸ばします。そして、Science、Math も英語で学び、さらに道徳（Value）の授業があり、Respect、Kindness、Tolerance、Honesty、Fairness等を学びます。このクラスを受講するためには、当校が実施するレベルチェックに合格する必要があります。 授業は、9時〜14時までの一日5時間で、週5日のみのコースとなります。Hello how are you.

Preafter School

初めて英語を習う初心者向け、または、基本的な英会話をまだ習得していない日本の幼稚園・小学校に通う子供向けの午後のクラスです。 このクラスでは、英語に慣れ親しむための歌・ダンス・ゲームのカリキュラムを多く取り入れ、英語発音で重要なフォニックス（Phonics）を重点的に学び、体を動かしながら英単語やセンテンスを覚えるActivityプログラムを中心に英会話の基礎を学習します。

After School

基本的な英会話を身につけている本校のキンダーガーデンに入れる程度のレベルの子供が対象で、日本の幼稚園・小学校に通う子供向けの午後のクラスです。 このクラスでは英語での表現力の向上、文章の読み書きを重点的に学習していきます。

Advanced

帰国子女レベルの英語力を身につけている本校のキンダーガーデンを卒業できるレベルの子供が対象で、日本の小学校に通う子供向けの午後のクラスです。 このクラスでは文法の学習や、歴史や科学等を英語で学び、英語でのプレゼンテーションスキルの習得を目指して授業が行われます。

Calendar

School Policy

• 第1条 ： 祝祭日、休日は休校となります。
• 第2条 ： 本スクールの休業は、詳細は年間予定表を参照してください。 
• 第3条 ： Baby Classを受講される場合は、保護者の同伴が必要です。
• 第4条 ： Baby Class以外は、生徒自ら排泄できることが基本必要です。
• 第5条 ： Baby Class以外は、半年に一度、レベルチェックを行います。その結果をもとに保護者との面談を半年に一度行います。
• 第6条 ： 欠席、遅刻、早退する場合は、電話またはＥメールでご連絡ください。
• 第7条 ： 病気にかかった生徒は登校できませんので、ご家庭での看護及び保育をお願いします。また、生徒の５０％が感染する伝染性の疾病が流行し、さらに感染する可能性があると本スクールが判断した場合は、数日間休校することがあります。（上記の場合は、振替及び授業料の返金等は致しませんのでご了承ください）
• 第8条 ： Spring School、Summer School、Winter Schoolは在校生以外の参加が認められております。
• 第9条 ： 遠足、クリスマス等イベント等には別途料金が必要になる場合があります。
• 第10条 ： 本スクールの生徒、保護者は下記のことを心がけてください。 ａ）本スクールのスタッフに対しての「尊敬」or「尊重」 ｂ）保護者同士の「尊敬」 ｃ）子供同士や保護者の攻撃的な言葉の禁止 ｄ）本スクール施設や周囲の環境に対しての心配り ｅ）本スクールに対しての協力や本スクールのポリシーを誠実に守る。
• 第11条 ： 本スクールの規則を故意に破った場合や、保護者、生徒が本スクールに不適（たとえば暴力や迷惑行為）と判断した場合は、退学処分もあることをご承諾ください。
• 第12条 ： 本スクールでは、本規約を変更できるものとします。変更内容につきましては、事前にお知らせいたします。
• 第13条 ： 取材やWebへの写真掲載等、本スクールの広報にご協力ください。

1. The school will be closed for public holidays.
2. School Holidays are as follows：Referrence to the school calendar in detail, a） Pre-School and Kindergarten. Spring Vacation March 21st - April 8th Summer Vacation July 21st - August 31st Winter Vacation December 23rd - January 8th . b） Baby Class Pre-Afterschool Class and Afterschool Class _ Summer Vacation August 1st - 31th Winter Vacation December 24th - January 3rd
3. During Baby Class, the child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
4. With exception to Baby Class, all pupils must be toilet trained.
5. With the exception of Baby Class level checks on students will be conducted twice a year. Upon release of results, Parent Teacher conferences will be conducted twice a year.
6. In the case of a students’ absence, late arrival or early departure from class, please notify the school by phone or e-mail.
7. Due to the fact that a sick child may not be tended to by a parent/guardian at school, we request that common sense is practiced and a sick child be kept at home.*In addition, when 50% or more of the students are contaminated with an infectious disease, there is a possibility that the school may be closed for several days. （Please acknowledge in this case school fees are not refunded）.
8. Spring Summer and Winter.
9. The costs incurred for excursion or field trips are not included in tuition fees and a separate cost is required.Also for events _ such as during Christmas time etc.
10. We request that both parents and students abide by the following: a） Respect and consideration for our staff. b） Parents are asked to show respect and consideration for each other. c） Students and Parents are asked to use proper language with each other, to staff and in and around the school. d） Treat our school and surrounding property with care and respect. e） We ask for your co-operation with our school policies.
11. We reserve the right to expel a student from the school when misconduct or bad behavior such as violence and damage to school property are judged as unacceptable.
12. At any point in time, we exercise the right to change or modify school policy, but in this case all students‘ parents will be notified in advance.
13. During August in 2003 classes were moderated for that month, however in August 2004, classes will be run as usual with no change in the regular pattern. 14. We reserve the right to publish school information, data and school photos for publications and our website. We appreciate your co-operation.

Fee Policy

• 第1条 ： 授業料の納入方法は、KindergartenとPreschoolのコースについては、半期払いと年払いがあります。支払方法は銀行振込となります。支払期日は年払いと1st Half （3-10月）は２月末日まで、2nd Half （10-3月）は８月末日までとなります。Baby ClassとAfterschool Classについては、月払いとなります。支払方法は銀行振替となります。前月に引き落とされます。また、退学される場合は銀行振替の手続き上、2ヶ月前までにご連絡ください。
• 第2条 ： 兄弟、姉妹も同時に通学させる場合は、KindergartenとPreschoolのコースは授業料１０％割引、その他のPre-Afterschool、Afterschoolのコースは授業料２０％割引と致します。
• 第3条 ： 一度お支払いいただいた入学金、授業料、教材費等は、お返しすることはできません。 但し、Preschool、Kindergarten、Saturday Classのコースを契約された方は「特定継続的役務提供」の法律に従い「クーリング・オフ」や「途中解約」ができます。 ※クーリング・オフ. 契約締結後、書面交付から8日以内であれば、無条件で契約を解約することができます。その場合、お支払金額は全額返金致します。 ※中途解約制度、損額賠償. クーリング・オフ期間経過後においても、理由の如何を問わず、契約を解除することができます。この場合、役務提供開始前の場合は、1万5千円をお支払い頂きます。役務提供開始後の場合は、役務提供された期間で算出した金額については返金致しません。5万円又は契約残額の百分の二十に相当する額のいづれか低い額をお支払い頂きます。上記以外のお支払い頂いた金額は全額返金致します。
• 第4条 ： ２ヶ月以上連続、計６ヶ月までの期間、家庭の転勤、移転等の理由でお休みされる場合は、Preschool、Kindergartenの生徒に関しては休学継続料として毎月１万円をいただきます。その他の生徒に関しては、月額授業料の１／５とさせていただきます。
• 第5条 ： 途中入会の場合は、日割計算となります。
• 第6条 ： 自己都合により欠席した場合、理由の如何にかかわらず、振替レッスン及び、受講料の返金はいたしません。
• 第7条 ： 天災（地震、台風、大雪）など、本スクールが開講不可能と判断した場合には休校とし、その場合は振替授業、授業料の返金はいたしません。
• 第8条 ： 講師の急病及び、急な本スクールの事情により、授業が行われなかった場合は、後日振替授業を行います。その場合、状況により土曜日に開催されることがあることをご了承ください。
• 第9条 ： 本スクールでは、本規約を変更できるものとします。変更内容につきましては、事前にお知らせいたします。
• 第10条 ： Passportを紛失し再発行する場合は、5千円をお支払い頂きます。
• 第11条 ： Baby Class、Pre-Afterschool、Afterschoolの授業料、教材費は、1day／Weekは月4回、2day／Weekは月8回、 3day／weekは月12回で算出されています。休日等で日数が少ない場合は、その比率に合わせて減額（例：1day／weekで月3回の場合は、授業料・教材費は3／4）となります。
• 第12条 ： 支払期日を過ぎた金額に対して、月利２％の延滞追徴金を徴収いたします。

1. Pre-school and Kindergarten fees are paid half-yearly or yearly by bank transfer. Both yearly and half yearly （for the first semester running April - October） must be paid by the last day of February.The second semester （running from October - March） payment must be made by the August 31st. Baby Class, Pre-Afterschool Class and Afterschool Class fees will be paid monthly by automatic deduction from the specified bank account.
2. If there is more than one child enrolled at English Express from the family, there is a discount of 10% for Pre-School and Kindergarten classes and 20% on tuition fees applies to Baby Class, Pre-Afterschool Class and Afterschool Classes.
3. In the case of termination of the child’s contract, enrollment fee is non-refundable. We do, however abide by the “Cooling Off” law, whereby if the cancellation is within 8 days of the finalization of the contract, a full refund is possible. If the cancellation is between 8 days of contract finalization and prior to commencing of the semester a cancellation fee of \15,000 applies. If the cancellation is mid-semester, either a cancellation fee of \50,000 or 20% of the remaining balance on tuition fee applies （the lesser amount is charged）.
4. In the case of a long term absence, from 2 to 6 months, a tuition continuation fee applies. During the student’s absence \10,000 per month is charged to secure a position in class upon return.
5. When a student is enrolled mid-semester, the tuition for that semester is calculated on a daily percentage of the semester’s tuition.
6. Absence due to self circumstances is non-refundable.
7. The school will shut down in the event of natural disasters. In this case tuition is non-refundable.
8. If a teacher is absent or the school is shut due to circumstances in cause of the school, make-up classes will be scheduled. Please note: there is a possibility that these make-up classes may be held on a Saturday.
9. These terms and conditions are liable to change. In which event notification will be given in advance.
10. If a passport is lost, there is a charge of \5,000 for re-issuance.
11. Baby Class, Pre-Afterschool, and Afterschool Classes, the tuition fees are calculated on a 4 week month. If by some reason, in such an instance as by a public holiday etc, class is unavailable, the tuition will be calculated by percentage for that month. For example: on a 4 lesson／month fee, if there are only 3 lessons available, tuition is charged as _ of that month’s tuition.
12. When tuition is paid late, there is a penalty of 2% charged.
