English Express International School is looking for a full time native English teacher to teach preschool/ kindergarten, after school classes and summer/spring camps. We are a small, but successful and expanding school, with a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. A native speaker from Canada, USA or another English Speaking country. Provides a resume, cover letter, and photo with their application. Experienced, with several years in a classroom with preschool to early grade school aged students. A university degree with specialization in Education. Three locations in the Yokohama area: Center Kita, Utsukushigaoka and Kajigaya
The position will be available in August or September. There is a possibility of earlier or later starts.

Curriculum: English Express has an extensive, international-based, immersion curriculum which includes phonics, reading, mathematics, science, physical education, music, role-playing, story-telling, values lessons, weekly cooking and craft activities, and more. Field trips, outdoor activities, sports days, plays and pageants also make up a big part of the school year. The curriculum is constantly under development and teachers will be expected to actively contribute.
Working Hours: The position will start in September or October. Hours for a typical day run from 9 o'clock AM until 6 o'clock PM. Actual teaching time is 6-7 hours in a day for full time, with an hour for class preparation and an hour of break-time.
Holidays: All national holidays and weekends. Spring, Summer and Winter breaks exceeding 3 weeks, and 10-20 days sick/holiday leave.
Training: 1-3 weeks of observation and training prior to beginning full-time teaching. Continuing development and training throughout the term of employment.
Contract: 1 year renewable contract preferred.

Candidates who make the first round will be invited back for a 'hands on' interview, consisting of some in-class time, shadowing another teacher. Second round candidates will then be notified, whether successful or not, of our final decision.
